Facial Feminization for Transgender Patients
One of my facilities has a well renowned plastic surgeon who is performing facial feminization procedures for transgender patients. Currently, these are all negotiated at self-pay rates. I am concerned we are not coding or charging everything that we could be. Does anyone have experience with facial feminization? Any knowledge of proper coding for the following procedures (case by case, these include some to all of these):
· Forehead procedure
· Hairline alteration
· Rhinoplasty
· Cheek Augmentation
· Lip Lift
· Genioplasty (chin)
· Jaw surgery
· Tracheal shave
· Soft tissues procedures
o Lip injections
o Eye lifts
o Face lifts
o Eye brow lifts
