Self admin drugs CMS OIG rules
Having a debate with another hospital. According to OIG we are allowed write off SAD (self administered drugs) for Medicare patient's. If a hospital chooses to do this for straight Medicare should they also be doing this for MCR HMO plans?

It refers to "Medicare beneficiaries." Medicare Advantage patients are Medicare beneficiaries so I'd say "yes." But I am not a lawyer nor did I stay in a Holiday Inn Express.
