Patient charges

Patient had an EGD w/PH capsule placement, procedure was completed and patient went to recovery.  The patient had to be taken back to ENDO procedure room due to severe pain where another EGD was performed to remove the capsule. Would this be considered as two separate procedures?  Would we charge for the 1st 15 min procedure room again (for the second procedure) or would we charge just additional minutes?

    if it was an unplanned return to the ENDO suite, I believe a 2nd procedure should be charged.  If it is a completely new case, case log, room, supplies opened, we would charge the initial charge plus any additional increments depending on time.  HIM would code it per dictation and append the correct modifier, 78, I believe.
