Bone Marrow Asp & Bx - 2018
According to Addendum B (confirmed in HCPCS 2018 file) G0364 [Bone marrow aspiration performed with bone marrow biopsy through the same incision on the same date of service] is deleted for 2018. Rather than report CPT 38221 + HCPCS G0364 - use new CPT code 38222 [Diagnostic bone marrow; biopsy(ies) and aspiration(s)]. Note that both 38220 and 38221 descriptions have been revised.
