Epic and vitalant reconciliation
Hello- looking for a facility that uses Epic and contracts with Vitalant for blood products/labs. We are struggling to reconcile vitalant billing to our Epic charges. The issue is with reconciling the charges we received to the results/documentation in the chart. They will send us a bill for 8 tests being performed but we only received 3 test results in our system. We are struggling from a compliance perspective, we do not feel it is appropriate to bill all 8 tests to the insurance or on the patient account without the documentation to support all 8 tests, vitalant will not provide the documentation or proof that the tests were performed.
Looking for guidance or anyone else having this problem and how you reconcile?
