RECOVERY CHARGING

Hello.  Is anyone familiar with the creation of a virtual recovery room for charging purposes?  Also, does anyone have any information to support charging for recovery services if a patient returns to their room post op?

Any information you can provide is greatly appreciated.

    I am currently battling that you cannot charge extended recovery room once the patient is placed in a bed.  Recovery room charging is based on recovering from anesthesia (4-6 hours) and the anesthesiologist discharges you from the unit.  I don't believe and don't recommend charging additional extended recovery room charges as payers will asked for the $$$$ back.
