Arterial Blood Draw from an established line

Our Pulmonary Services department is asking about charging for ABG draws from an established arterial line (already in place). I have been unable to locate a CPT code for this. Can 36600 be used, or not because that is specific to "puncture"?

    I don't think 36600 can be used, due to the lack of puncture. Several years ago, we used to charge with a miscellaneous "99" code, but we do not currently charge for this at all.

    Thank you, Andrew. Pulmonary thought perhaps 37799, but I do not agree with that. We have not been charging up to this point. I think that is our best bet.
