Delinquent Equipment Charge

Our cardiology department wants to establish a self pay charge for not returning equipment (holters, BP monitors, event monitors). Does anyone have any experience with this and if so wondering if you actually receive any payments.

    Hi @mniedzwiecki . We did this at a hospital I worked at in the past. We didn't have good luck collecting; however, some people were prompted to return the equipment when they received the bill, so overall we felt it was a worthwhile practice.
