Has anyone implemented using patient data vs non-billable tracking codes to track productivity? Currently we’re using a tracking code which could make the metric vulnerable to inaccuracies and requires training. Finance is wanting to capture the work being done without dropping zero-dollar charges so hoping someone has successfully done this and is willing to share how it was done.

    Hi - I wasn't directly responsible for it, but yes, at the last health system I worked for, we used data within the EHR whenever possible instead of statistical codes within the CDM. They would leverage whatever the applicable clinical activity was (e.g. orders, notes, visits, etc.)
