Point of Care lab policy
Does anyone have a policy on when point of care labs should be charged in addition to other procedures (imaging)? For example, a blood creatine is performed prior to a CT with contrast, or a glucose performed prior to nuclear medicine procedure? I know there must be an order, medical necessity, etc, and just wanted to see if there are others who have developed a policy on how to handle these labs.
