Wondering what systems are doing for MRSA/MSSA pre-op testing? In many cases, it is denied by the payer as a non-covered services and we are receiving patient complaints when the balances are transferred to PR. How is MRSA/MSSA testing billed at your facility when performed pre-operatively?

    Most screening tests are non-covered by most payers. I think writing it off is the most common action.
