HOSPITAL SYSTEM MOVING TO 1 TAX ID # AND 3 DAY BUNDLING RULE
We are moving our hospital system under 1 TAX ID # and I am concerned about the PPS hospitals in the system and the 3 day rule. For example - Hospital A does diagnostic test outpatient and 2 days later patient admitted to Hospital B. Two hospitals in the same system and 1 TAX ID for both - would we have to comply with the 3 day rule for PPS hospitals? My gut is telling me yes but if you have experience with your hospital system please share
