Revenue code 0272 Sterile Supplies

Have most hospitals done away with billing 0272 Sterile Supplies.  In Maine we are the last ones standing with a % of charge from commercial payers.  They are citing routine to the procedure and I cannot disagree but does anyone have solid backing to defend these charges?  I know from a FED standpoint they are bundled: but is there any way with guidelines to defend this charge besides it can be categorized by HCPCS code?

    We are still charging for supplies under rev code 272, but have increased cost threshold on billing supplies to help support that the charges are not routine.
